Lyla continues to grow at a pace that I never knew was possible! I was always amazed how quickly our nephew and niece were able to grow and learn new things so fast. It seemed like every time we saw them, they had some new talent or word to share with us. But to see it happen right in front of your eyes is unbelievable!! They truly are "little sponges" that absorb everything they see and hear...even things you don't even see and hear...and then without warning they are doing something new, something they have never done before, and you find yourself cursing that you don't keep the video camera on nonstop.
Lyla is talking up a storm now. She will try to repeat any word you ask her to. Most of them come out as "baba" but each day it seems that a new word is added. Here is a list of words she can now say:
Hi, bye, Mama, Mommy, Bliss (she says Be), Delaney (says naney), moo, meow, woof, baa, neigh, pea, please (which sounds very similar to pea), pool, poo poo, edamame (says mame), chair, ball, shoe, baby, more. I am sure there are others that I am forgetting and will have to add to this list later.
She is also signing more and more each day. She now signs "please"...which is so incredibly cute that it gets her anything she wants. She also signs "banana" even though she refuses to eat them.
She loves to blow kisses to everyone...and everything. Today she blew a kiss to a cat we saw cross the street.
Her favorite toy right now is her new stroller we picked up at the toy store last week.
Her favorite "non toy" toy is toilet paper:
